Trompenburg Gardens and Arboretum is a botanical garden that dates back to the 19th century. The gardens house a collection of about 4.000 trees, shrubs and flowers. For example, there are more than 650 rhododendrons.
The gardens were constructed around the year 1820, but first opened to the public in 1958.
The Trompenburg Gardens are situated at Honingerdijk, in the district Kralingen. A smaller garden, named 'De Overtuin' is situated at Groene Wetering. The ticket is valid for both gardens.
The best times to visit the garden are during spring and autumn - then you get to see some beautiful colours.
